Changes to short-term study room policies

In order to support in-depth research in Bird Library, the Library makes private study rooms available for short-term use by individual faculty, graduate students, and visiting researchers.

Private study rooms on the third floor of Bird Library, which were previously available for only one-day use, may now be reserved for a 3-day period. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Study room keys may be checked out and returned to the first floor circulation desk during that desk’s service hours (see Library Hours web page). After normal business hours, keys can be returned to a key drop box that will be available at the first floor circulation desk.

Due to high demand, study rooms keys are not available for renewal. Users will be allowed to check out another key on the following day.
