Meet-up of new ACRL group on October 15

NY State’s academic librarians are invited to the inaugural meet-up of the New York State ACRL Library Marketing and Outreach Interest Group.

When: Wednesday, October 15, 2014, 2-4 p.m.
Syracuse University Libraries | Bird Library, First Floor, Peter Graham Scholarly Commons

 This informal colloquium is intended to:

  • Celebrate the official launch of this new interest group;
  • Discuss examples of their recent marketing strategies and challenges;
  • Exchange ideas and collateral materials of any format or medium.

Refreshments will be provided. At conclusion of the meet-up, there will be the opportunity to tour the Special Collections Research Center’s current exhibits on photojournalist Margaret Bourke-White. This will be followed by a brief social at Sitrus on the Hill, located at the nearby Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center.

Any participants arriving early are also welcome to attend a STEM Publishers & Products Showcase in the atrium of the university’s Life Sciences Complex from 11a.m. to 2p.m.
