Syracuse University Libraries and Colgate University Libraries have teamed up to present The Small Press Reading Series, featuring JI Daniels and Jesse Nissim, on Friday, August 12 from 5– 6 p.m. in the Peter Graham Scholarly Commons on the first floor of Bird Library.
Jesse Nissim is the author of Day cracks between the bones of the foot (Furniture Press Books), Where They Would Never Be Invited (Black Radish Books), and several chapbooks. Her work has appeared in Barrow Street, Handsome, H-NGM-N, HTML Giant, Many Mountains Moving, New American Writing, La Petite Zine, Really System, Requited, Shampoo, Sixth Finch, Spoon River Poetry Review, and others. She has received grants from the Ragdale Foundation and the Constance Saltonstall Foundation. Jesse lives and teaches in Syracuse, New York.
JI Daniels is the author of Mount Fugue, available through Kernpunkt Press, a board member for Writers @ Work, a Fiction Editor for Quarterly West and a PhD Candidate at the University of Utah. His fiction has appeared, among other places, in Lunch Ticket, Rawboned, Words Apart, Far Enough East, Juked, Southwest Review and Printer’s Row.
