Elmira-based WETM television recently aired a feature story on Syracuse University legend Ernie Davis as part of their Black History Month coverage. Davis came to Syracuse University from Elmira, where he moved with his family at the age of twelve. He was known as the “Elmira Express.”
Reporter Ryan Ruff visited University Archives for an interview with university archivist Meg Mason and to view items from the Ernie Davis archive. Ruff also interviewed Herman Frazier, Senior Deputy Director of Athletics at Syracuse University, for perspective on Davis as a student-athlete.
