Qualtrics Research Suite, a cloud-based research tool, is now available to campus faculty, students, and staff. A sophisticated survey, research, analysis, and reporting tool, the suite contains more than 100 types of questions, multiple levels of randomization, heat map questions, page timing, and metadata capabilities. These and many other features such as secure collaboration, grouping, subgrouping, graphing, cross tabulation, and data exports to SPSS make it useful for experimental research, medical data collection, securing protected health information, marketing research, survey research, classroom testing, and more.
Qualtrics claims support for regulatory requirements such as SAS 70, the IRB, HIPAA, US/European Safe Harbor, and FERPA. Qualtrics also delivers unlimited support to all users, including students, staff and faculty. Although Qualtrics is fairly intuitive, the company’s self-serve support resources, such as Qualtrics University’s detailed video tutorials, allow users to find the right answers at their own pace.
The current contract is a one-year agreement that will be renewed only if campus users are satisfied with Qualtrics Research Suite and costs can be shared among participating campus groups. For more details please see the full Qualtrics article in IT Connections.
