A team of SU students is promoting the use of the GoodSearch.com search engine as a way to support the John Dau Sudan Foundation. Goodsearch is a Yahoo-powered search engine that donates a penny to the charity of your choice for every search you make. A corollary service, GoodShop.com, also donates a percentage of purchases made through the website to charity.
By concentrating its efforts on the John Dau Sudan Foundation, the team hopes to raise awareness and funding for the charity. Goodsearch also allows users to track the amount of money raised. John Dau, one of the Lost Boys of the Sudan, is an SU student who started the foundation to build and sustain healthcare clinics in South Sudan.
