Video Reserves changes for fall 2012

Beginning this fall semester, all video and DVD reserves will be checked out from the 1st floor Circulation Desk in Bird Library, the same location as other reserve items. Reserve videos and DVDs will no longer be circulated from the 4th floor desk.

Faculty wishing to place library-owned videos/DVDs on reserve should email and include the following information for each item:

  • Film/video title(s)
  • Faculty member’s name, email, and phone number
  • Course name and number
  • Length of time each item is needed on reserve.

Reserve videos and DVDs owned by faculty or departments can be dropped off at the 1st floor Circulation Desk at Bird Library, along with the information listed above.

Most DVDs can be played on any workstation in the Bird Library using headsets borrowed from the User Technical Support (UTS) desk  on the 1st floor. Students can also view videos, DVDs, and VHS tapes on viewing stations on the 4th floor.  Library-owned items may be used outside of the library, within the checkout period (three hours with one renewal for undergraduate students, three days for faculty and graduate students.)
